This building was constructed on the Llobregat River Delta, which posed a challenge to the project’s engineers, who had to reduce the building’s weight as much as possible, thanks to a mixed compaction system. In addition to the use of lightweight systems and structures, its aesthetics imbue the building with a sense of lightness thanks to the materials used. The design of the floor plan resembles a ‘Y’, and seeks to imbue the building with an international, multicultural, unique and innovative character, while maintaining the luminosity and warmth that characterize Mediterranean architecture.
