Karjaloomana on hunt koost\u00f6\u00f6aldis, nutikas ja strateegilise m\u00f5tlemisega. \u201eNeid samu omadusi hindame ka oma t\u00f6\u00f6tajates ja tiimides,\u201c s\u00f5nas Peeter Tohver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eluslooduseosakonna juhataja Timo Kark selgitas, et GPS-saatjaga varustatud hundid annavad Keskkonnaagentuuri suurkiskjate ekspertidele hea \u00fclevaate karja liikumisulatusest ja territooriumi suurusest. \u201cSaatja infot kasutades saame h\u00f5lpsamalt koguda andmeid hundikarja tegevuse kohta looduses. Saame n\u00e4iteks teada, kus hundid peatuvad, millised on nende elupaiga eelistused ja kes on nende saakloomad. Samuti on meil nii paremad v\u00f5imalused proovimaterjali kogumiseks,\u201d r\u00e4\u00e4kis Kark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keskkonnaagentuuri jaoks on huntide telemeetriline j\u00e4lgimine kestnud k\u00fcmme aastat. Taoline GPS-seade on selle aja jooksul paigaldatud 20le hundile. Lisaks kogutakse infot jahiseltsidelt, kasutatakse rajakaameraid ning tehakse j\u00e4ljeloendusi.
